International Buddhist Centre

This International Buddhist Centre, located within the Diplomatic Enclave in Islamabad and maintained under the custodianship of the High Commission of Sri Lanka, serves as a place of peaceful reflection, worship, and cultural continuity for diplomats, their families, and the resident Buddhist community. As the only functional Buddhist temple within the enclave, it holds special significance in facilitating religious observances, including Vesak and other important ceremonies, thereby preserving and promoting the spiritual heritage of Buddhism in Pakistan.

Over the years, the Centre has brought together members of the international Buddhist community, including those from Sri Lanka, Thailand, Viet Nam, Myanmar, Nepal, and other countries, fostering a spirit of harmony, understanding, and shared devotion. In order to ensure the continued upkeep, preservation, and enhancement of this important religious and cultural site, the High Commission of Sri Lanka respectfully invites the generous support of well-wishers, devotees, and friends of the Buddhist community.

All contributions made for this purpose will be utilized solely for the maintenance and development of the Centre, and will be received, administered, and maintained under the direct supervision of the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka in Pakistan, ensuring transparency and accountability.
