Pro Vice Chancellor of Rashid Latif Khan University, Lahore Meets High Commissioner of Sri Lanka
Prof. Dr. Saeed Ul Hasan Chishti, Pro Vice Chancellor of Rashid Latif Khan University, Lahore, accompanied by Dr. Farhat Asif, Chairperson, and Mr. Muhammad Asif Noor, CEO of Diplomatic Insight Group, met with the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Pakistan, Rear Admiral Fred Senevirathne, on 7 August 2026 at the Official Residence of the High Commissioner.
The High Commissioner warmly welcomed the delegation. During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Saeed Ul Hasan Chishti briefed him on the forthcoming Health and Education Summit Pakistan 2026, envisioned as a premier platform for promoting international collaboration in healthcare, education, and workforce development.
He explained that the Summit will bring together policymakers, diplomatic missions, healthcare providers, educational institutions, industry leaders, regulators, and international organizations to foster dialogue, partnerships, and practical solutions for strengthening health and education systems.
A key feature of the Summit will be the Diplomatic Arena, providing embassies with an opportunity to establish country pavilions to showcase their national strengths and promote business, investment, higher education, healthcare, research, innovation, and skilled workforce opportunities. The platform will also facilitate engagement among government, academia, industry, and healthcare stakeholders to identify new avenues for bilateral cooperation.
The High Commissioner appreciated the initiative and commended the organizers for creating a platform that brings together stakeholders from the diplomatic, governmental, academic, healthcare, and private sectors. He expressed the High Commission’s interest in participating in the Health and Education Summit Pakistan 2026 and conveyed its desire to actively engage in the event.
He noted that the Summit could provide valuable opportunities to further strengthen Sri Lanka–Pakistan cooperation in healthcare, education, research, innovation, skills development, investment, and other areas of mutual interest.
